Bi-Weekly Construction Update - January 20th, 2026
Two-Week Look Ahead
We’re sharing a brief update on upcoming work at the 275 Merton Street site. These updates are intended to keep our neighbours informed about what’s happening on site and what to expect in the near term. Thank you for your continued patience as this early phase of work moves forward.
What’s Happening Over the Next Two Weeks
Over the next two weeks, crews will be completing initial site preparation work, including:
Completing the removal of old underground foundations
Removing remaining concrete from previous buildings and transporting it off site
Placing clean gravel in part of the site to help level and stabilize the ground
Bringing in clean fill to prepare a safe working surface for upcoming equipment
This work helps ensure the site is properly prepared for future construction activities.
Temporary Impacts to Be Aware Of
During this time, neighbours may notice:
Dump trucks entering and exiting the site to remove concrete and foundation material
Dump trucks delivering clean fill and gravel
Flag personnel will be on site to help manage traffic and support safe movement for drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians.
We will continue to take steps to minimize disruption and appreciate the community’s understanding as this work progresses.
